Kinlove Terms of Use

Last updated: May 2026

1. Acceptance of These Terms

Welcome to Kinlove! These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Kinlove website, mobile application, beta product, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Services.

If you use the Services on behalf of a household, family, organization, or other entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that household, family, organization, or entity to these Terms.

2. Who May Use Kinlove

Kinlove is intended for adults, including parents, guardians, caregivers, and other authorized household members.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account or use the Services independently.

The Services are not directed to children under 13 and are not intended for children to use on their own. Children may not create accounts or submit personal information directly to the Services.

If you add information relating to a child or another household member, you represent that you are the child’s parent or legal guardian, or otherwise have the right and authority to provide that information and authorize its use through the Services.

3. The Services

Kinlove provides tools to help users organize and manage family and household life. Features may include tasks, to-dos, calendar and event coordination, meal planning, household collaboration, shared access for invited users, and optional integrations or AI-powered tools.

We may add, remove, change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, including during the MVP, pilot, or beta period.

Some features may be labeled beta, pilot, experimental, or similar. Those features may be incomplete, change quickly, or be less reliable than fully launched features.

4. Your Account

To use certain features, you may need to create an account.

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it updated.

You are responsible for:

  • maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials;
  • all activities that occur under your account;
  • ensuring that people you invite to your household, family, or Tribe have permission to access the information shared with them; and
  • promptly updating or revoking access if someone should no longer have access.

You must notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised or used without authorization.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose security, legal, or operational risks.

5. Household and Tribe Collaboration

Kinlove is designed to support collaboration among household members and other invited participants (“Tribe” members).

If you invite another person to the Services, you are responsible for ensuring that:

  • you have authority to share the relevant information with them;
  • the permissions and access you grant are appropriate;
  • the information shared through the Services is accurate to the best of your knowledge; and
  • you have considered whether the person should have access to information about children, household routines, calendars, locations, tasks, notes, or other family information.

Depending on product settings and permissions, invited users may be able to view, edit, create, assign, or delete household information, tasks, events, notes, and related content.

We are not responsible for disputes between household members, caregivers, or other invited users regarding access, permissions, assignments, scheduling, or shared content.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Services to:

  • violate any law or regulation;
  • infringe or violate another person’s rights;
  • upload or share content you do not have the right to share;
  • store or transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful material;
  • interfere with the operation or security of the Services;
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, data, systems, or networks;
  • use the Services to harass, abuse, threaten, exploit, or harm others;
  • use the Services for unlawful surveillance, stalking, coercive control, or monitoring;
  • upload government identification numbers, financial account numbers, medical records, or other highly sensitive information unless we specifically request that information for a feature;
  • copy, scrape, reverse engineer, or exploit the Services except as permitted by law;
  • use automated means to access the Services in a manner that burdens or disrupts them; or
  • use the Services, outputs, content, or functionality to build, train, or improve a competing product except where applicable law prohibits such a restriction.

We may investigate violations of these Terms and take appropriate action, including suspending or terminating access.

7. User Content

You may submit, upload, record, store, or share content through the Services, including tasks, notes, schedules, meal plans, calendar information, family information, voice notes, photos, screenshots, links, and other materials (“User Content”).

You retain ownership of your User Content.

By submitting User Content through the Services, you grant Kinlove a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, modify, transmit, display, and create technical or functional derivatives of that content only as reasonably necessary to:

  • operate and provide the Services;
  • enable the features you choose to use;
  • support collaboration and sharing you authorize;
  • maintain, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the Services;
  • prevent abuse and protect the Services; and
  • comply with law.

You represent and warrant that:

  • you own or control the necessary rights to the User Content;
  • your User Content does not violate these Terms or applicable law; and
  • you have the right to provide information about any child, family member, caregiver, or third party whose information you enter into the Services.

8. AI-Powered Features

Kinlove may offer optional AI-powered features, such as transcription, summarization, extraction of tasks from notes, photos, screenshots, links, or voice input, meal or planning suggestions, or similar tools.

These features may rely on third-party providers, including providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or other infrastructure and AI service providers.

By using an AI-powered feature, you understand and agree that:

  • content you submit for that feature may be processed by third-party AI providers and infrastructure providers;
  • AI-generated outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, delayed, or unsuitable for your circumstances;
  • AI outputs are provided for convenience and assistance only;
  • you are responsible for reviewing, editing, confirming, and deciding whether to rely on any AI-generated output before acting on it; and
  • you should not rely on the Services as your sole source of reminders, safety-critical information, medical information, legal information, financial information, childcare guidance, nutrition guidance, or emergency planning.

Kinlove does not guarantee that AI-generated content will be correct, complete, safe, or appropriate for your household.

AI features are not a substitute for professional advice, including medical, mental health, legal, financial, childcare, nutritional, or safety advice.

If you do not want content processed through third-party AI providers, do not use AI-powered features.

9. Calendar Integrations and Third-Party Services

Kinlove may offer optional integrations with third-party services, including Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Microsoft Outlook Calendar, authentication providers, email providers, analytics providers, hosting providers, and payment processors.

If you choose to connect a third-party service:

  • you authorize Kinlove to access, process, and store the data needed to provide the integration;
  • you understand that the connected service is governed by that third party’s own terms and privacy practices;
  • you acknowledge that two-way sync may create, modify, or delete events or related data in a connected calendar based on your actions, settings, or permissions; and
  • you are responsible for reviewing permissions and disconnecting integrations you no longer want to use.

Kinlove is not responsible for downtime, errors, data loss, sync failures, API changes, permission issues, or other acts or omissions of third-party providers.

If we use Google APIs, our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

10. Communications

You agree that we may send you service-related communications, including account verification, password reset messages, technical notices, security alerts, product updates, and other administrative communications.

You may be able to opt out of promotional or non-essential communications, but you may not opt out of essential service or account communications while you maintain an account.

11. Pilot / Beta Disclaimer

Kinlove may be offered as an MVP, pilot, or beta product. During this period:

  • features may change without notice;
  • the Services may contain bugs or errors;
  • the Services may be unavailable at times;
  • data structures, permissions, and workflows may evolve;
  • we may test, modify, or discontinue parts of the Services; and
  • data may be lost, corrupted, delayed, incorrectly synced, or displayed incorrectly.

You understand that pilot or beta use may involve greater risk of interruptions, unexpected behavior, and data issues than a fully launched commercial product. You are responsible for keeping separate copies of important information and not relying on the Services as your only record of important tasks, events, household information, or reminders.

12. Fees and Payments

Some parts of the Services may be free, and some may require payment now or in the future.

If you purchase a subscription or paid feature, you agree to pay all applicable fees and charges disclosed to you at the time of purchase.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • fees are quoted in the currency presented at checkout;
  • payments are non-refundable except as required by law or as expressly stated by us; and
  • subscriptions may renew automatically unless canceled before the renewal date.

You are responsible for any taxes associated with your purchase except taxes based on our net income.

13. Intellectual Property

The Services, including the software, design, text, graphics, logos, trademarks, and other content provided by Kinlove, are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by intellectual property and other laws.

Except for the limited right to use the Services under these Terms, we reserve all rights, title, and interest in and to the Services.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the Services except as allowed by applicable law or with our written permission.

“Kinlove” and related names, logos, product names, and branding are our trademarks or those of our licensors.

14. Feedback

If you provide feedback, suggestions, ideas, or recommendations regarding the Services, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, distribute, and incorporate that feedback without compensation or obligation to you.

15. Privacy

Your use of the Services is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and share information.

By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read the Privacy Policy.

16. Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services, with or without notice, if:

  • you violate these Terms;
  • we believe your use poses legal, security, safety, or operational risk;
  • we are required to do so by law; or
  • we discontinue the Services or a relevant feature.

Upon termination, your right to use the Services will stop immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including sections relating to ownership, feedback, privacy, disclaimers, limitations of liability, disputes, and indemnity.

17. Disclaimers

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.”

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kinlove disclaims all warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, and that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components.

We do not guarantee that:

  • the Services will always be available;
  • any feature will continue to exist;
  • any task, calendar item, reminder, or notification will be delivered, synced, stored, or displayed without error;
  • AI-generated outputs will be accurate, safe, or appropriate;
  • calendar or third-party integrations will work without error; or
  • the Services will meet all of your household’s needs or expectations.

You are responsible for exercising your own judgment in using the Services.

18. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kinlove and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Services.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the total liability of Kinlove for all claims arising out of or relating to the Services or these Terms will not exceed the greater of:

  • the amount you paid to Kinlove in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim; or
  • USD $100.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations or exclusions of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.

19. Indemnification

To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Kinlove and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, licensors, and service providers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of or relating to:

  • your use of the Services;
  • your User Content;
  • your violation of these Terms;
  • your violation of any law or the rights of another person; or
  • disputes between you and any household member, Tribe member, caregiver, or third party related to information or content shared through the Services.

20. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of laws principles.

Subject to any rights you may have under mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New Castle County, Delaware, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of those courts.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights that you may have under applicable consumer protection, privacy, or data protection laws that cannot be waived by contract.

21. International Use

Kinlove may be operated from the United States and may use service providers in other countries.

If you access the Services from outside the United States, you do so at your own initiative and are responsible for complying with applicable local laws, to the extent they apply.

22. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

If we make material changes, we will provide notice by updating the date above and, where appropriate, by notifying you through the Services or by email.

Your continued use of the Services after updated Terms become effective means you agree to the revised Terms.

23. General Terms

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any other terms expressly incorporated by reference, form the entire agreement between you and Kinlove regarding the Services.

If any provision of these Terms is held unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms is not a waiver of that provision or any other right.

You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, or by operation of law.
